USNDP Visits for Exhibition with Bulldogs

Not Just a Gimme, This is the First Step in 2014

Fresh off a 4-2 win at Miami on December 31, the US National Developmental Team (USNDP) comes to Duluth.  This is no cupcake and it is a good starting point to build some momentum into 2014, something that UMD desperately needs.

Granted Miami isn't the team that was expected, but is a quality team.

Will this be a glorified practice for UMD?  Hopefully not too much as the team needs to get on track, but i may very well be a goalie try out for the future this season and how bad they need a recruit for next season.  To many, that need is already in the redzone.

Pick by @afiskness.  This week there is very limited action in the NCHC.  There are no conference games and only one two game series.  The most interesting games might be North Dakota and Princeton playing two road games against Canadian College teams in British Columbia. Usually these non-conference games are at the home ice and not a road trip.

Non-Confernece
Nebraska Omaha @ New Hampshire:  These are actually two pretty even teams.  We will see if there is any rust for either team after the holday break.  I will go with a split.

Brown @ Denver:  The Bears have been a very average team that has not played good on the road.  I like Denver to win this one on Friday night.
Brown @ Colorado College:  I think the Bears may bounce back from the Friday loss and beat the Tigers on their home rink.  Brown win.
